On November 19, 1952, the Key Club of McKinley High School (on the island of O'ahu) was chartered, marking the beginning of Division 22 of the California-Nevada-Hawai'i District. The oldest exisiting Key Club in Hawai'i, the Key Club of Hilo High School, was chartered five days later on November 24, 1952. For 59 years, Division 22 has continued to thrive and grow, providing service from the heart to schools and communities of the State of Hawai'i. Region 18 was once one division (Division 22). The Menehune was the first mascot of Region Division 22. The first lieutenant governor for division 22 Hikina was Kathryn Teruya. The first lieutenant governor for division 22 Komohana was Allana Carpio. The first lieutenant governor for division 22 makai was Jennifer Tanaguci.
